Suzan brings more than twenty years of experience in finance and accounting, including over a decade as a Controller. She’s built finance functions from the ground up in fast-paced environments, helping companies streamline operations, implement scalable processes, and develop high-performing teams.
Before joining BrightIron, Suzan spent nine years at a growing startup, where she played a key role in building the company’s financial infrastructure and driving operational efficiency. She also held Controller roles in both manufacturing and startup settings, where she focused on strengthening financial operations, improving processes, and supporting better business decisions through clear and reliable data.
Suzan is a graduate of Ontario Tech University and is nearing completion of her CPA designation. She’s also shared her expertise through teaching engagements at Durham College and Ontario Tech University.
Outside of work, Suzan enjoys time with her nieces and values the balance that family life brings to her career.
