David brings a sharp, pragmatic approach to finance, with deep experience supporting early-stage and scaling startups. At BrightIron, he’s worked with companies ranging in size from three people to 75+, across industries like healthcare, education, and video technology.
He’s partnered with clients including Round13 Capital, Phoenix Digital Health, SeamlessMD, Enhanced Medical Nutrition, Lumen5, and MedMe Health—helping them build robust financial models, implement smarter processes, and create more accurate, insightful reporting that drives better decision-making.
Before joining BrightIron, David was the first finance hire at two SaaS startups. Most recently, he was at Askuity, where he played a key role in the company’s acquisition and integration into The Home Depot. David earned his CPA, CA designation while in the rotational program at CIBC and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Queen’s University.
Outside of work, David is all about the outdoors—hockey, baseball, golf, disc golf, and summer canoe trips (with Killarney Provincial Park as his go-to escape).
