Throughout Doug’s nearly 30 years of experience as a financial professional, with the last 15 years as a software and technology executive, he has developed a comprehensive and hands-on knowledge of all areas of finance operations and investor management. His proficiency in understanding corporate objectives and translating them into actionable plans, establishing highly compliant and efficient environments has consistently led to optimized financial teams and improvements in the quality and timeliness of data.

Doug’s ability to analyze complex financial data and present it in a clear and concise manner to management, the Board and shareholders has been instrumental in making and communicating well-informed decisions. In the technology and SaaS environment, Doug has been able to consistently identify and develop company and industry specific Key Performance Indicators, working them into strategic corporate and investor presentations.

In previous roles, Doug has played a pivotal role in streamlining financial operations, resulting in more scalable and efficient financial teams. Doug has been actively involved in multiple M&A transactions, representing the company and their shareholders, managing all aspects of the process.

Doug served as the CFO of MKS Inc until it was acquired in 2012, and has since worked as an investor, Board member and fractional CFO for various technology companies. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and has been a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) since 1993.
