Todd has over 20 years of accounting/finance experience across multiple industries and has spent the last 10 years leading and building the finance function in high-growth founder-led companies, while partnering across the business to drive strategy, funding, and financial/business performance.
Prior to joining BrightIron, Todd worked at Cinchy, a venture capital-backed dataware platform company, were he partnered with the CEO and senior leadership team to raise a $19.7 million Series B in his first 7 months. In the 4 years prior to Cinchy, Todd led the finance function at LifeLearn Animal Health, a privately held technology company dedicated to the advancement of animal health by providing digital sales and marketing solutions to veterinary clinics and animal health organizations throughout Canada and the U.S. In October 2019 Todd was asked by the Board to lead LifeLearn, along with the COO and CVO. This executive team led the company through the COVID-19 pandemic while executing a company-wide digital transformation leading to the best top and bottom line results in company history. The following year, the Board Chair joined as CEO, and Todd partnered with the CEO and executive team to sell the company to ProSites.
Todd graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Honours Batchelor of Business Administration, minoring in Psychology, and completed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) accelerated program on his way to becoming a CPA, CMA.
Outside of work, Todd enjoys golfing, spending time with animals, running and hiking, cottaging, and relaxing with friends and family.
